Carissa goes to Yale

I needed a few days to relax and unwind from my recent eastern tour before I could blog about the trip. It was such a whirlwind fest of intense delights I simply wanted to reflect personally before I shared. I fully admit that I'm "stingy" with some details and want them all to myself :)

I arrived in "The Big Apple" Monday morning after staying up all night long with my usual giddiness of visiting one of my favorite cities. My sixty minute airplane powernap was suddenly halted by the sharp pain of my ears LOUDLY popping! I was startled and surprised I didn't scream out. My mocha face would be scarlet red in embarrassment as I did the walk of shame to the baggage claim. It took several days for my hearing to return to normal. When I visited with my gentlemen friends I had to constantly ask for a few things to be repeated. Of course I love sweet nothings including the dirty ones repeated... Quite the turn-on for me :)

NYC is a city that lives up to the Hericulitis' (Plato only interpreted his work) philosophical adage "The only thing constant is change". Several places I had become familiar with were gone and replaced with new businesses that now hold my NYC loyalties. Also, while  I visited with several old friends I added a few new and rather interesting ones and have some hot memories to hold me over until my next visit...

After a few days in the city I ventured to New Haven, Connecticut. It was my  first "taste" of New England and it certainly was a good one! I met with a new yet very dear gentleman who gave me a brief history of New Haven which helped me when I did some sightseeing. I love Colonial architecture and New Haven's "Green" area was full of these sights. I also met with another gentleman who was simply an inspiration on so many levels. I'd like to thank these two gentlemen personally for sharing their uniquely interesting and personalities with me!

New Haven is also home of Yale. Thursday evening while doing some more sightseeing I ended up at a tiny bar that was full of welcoming students. We shared wild college stories over a few drinks and the party returned back to their dorms... I may be in my late 20s but it was fun to relive some of my college days! I answered a lingering question: Public College or Ivy League Men? Hmmmm... Tough call. Let's just say I enjoy you all!

I returned back to the city for another amazing time and then it was homeward bound... One week, two cities, and a few fantasies on the "bucket list" conquered. The trip was a success!
